Brrrrr, it’s FREEZING!!! It snowed most of last night & what didn’t melt in the morning sunshine is now frozen. I have to keep chasing next door’s cats out of the garden, because they are preventing the birds from getting to the feeders & they – the birds – must be hungry.
It occurred to me today that with so many beautiful crafting blogs around it’s easy to miss the ones that – in my opinion – have that extra-special something. So I thought that once a month I would feature a blog that I never miss following, that inspires me & that just takes my breath away with the beauty of its creations. There are no prizes, just the hope that more people will visit these blogs & find them as gorgeous & inspirational as I do.
The first blog to be featured is Michelle Zindorf’s. Her tutorials are excellent & the finished card really is a work of art, as I think this picture proves. And trust me, I could have chosen any one of her cards; they are all wonderful. You can subscribe to her blog & she will send you an email of her latest creation – usually every day, don’t ask me how she does it! When you visit her blog, don’t forget to look at the older posts too, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
I’ve been given another blog award! A very big thank you to Sharon for thinking of me. Now I have to list five things I’m addicted to & pass the award on to five more bloggers.
The first part is easy. I’m addicted to:
1 Card-making. Much better at reducing stress than cigarettes, alcohol or drugs!
2 Ribbons – I find it almost impossible to make a card without a piece of ribbon on it somewhere. 🙂
3 Chocolate – especially the white chocolate & blueberry truffles from Hotel Chocolat, they are incredibly delicious. I can also recommend Lily O’Brien’s Crispy Hearts!
4 Ancient Egypt. I read lots of books & never a miss a tv programme on the subject.
5 Art. Artists such as Rembrandt, Caravaggio & Holbein really were geniuses. As for artists today, I love the street art of Banksy & Blek Le Rat. The ‘Arnolfini Portrait’ by Jan Van Eyck is my all-time favourite painting. I saw it for the first time as a print when I was twelve & fell in love with it. I still remember the very first time I saw the actual painting in the National Gallery in London & I still visit it almost every time I’m in London.
Now I’m going to think about who gets this award next, I’ll make my decision in the next few days.
Thank you to everyone who’s been leaving comments the last few days, it means a great deal to me.
Love & light.
