Right, own up. Whodunnit? Who stole February? I can’t believe tomorrow is the 29th, I feel like I’ve missed the entire month. Lots of things have been happening, but I’ll tell you another time. I want to keep this post short & sweet.About a fortnight ago, Lord Tim of Holtz announced the end of his “Twelve Tags of Christmas”. Cue worldwide hysterical sobbing. He then announced his “Twelve Tags of 2012”, whereby he will show us one tag a month. Cue worldwide hysterical cheering. I am very glad I did his 12 Tags of Christmas last year, I would have been very cross with myself now if I hadn’t. I like the idea of one tag a month, if nothing else there will less pressure in December.
You can find all the information & Tim’s February tag HERE. Naturally, I have NONE of the items Tim used, so it took me quite a while to come up with an idea.
For the red heart I covered a piece of white cardstock in Festive Berries distress inks. Then I stamped the heart stamp – free with a recent issue of Craft Stamper magazine – on to the cardstock also with Festive Berries. Cut out the hearts, folded them in half, stuck them to another stamped heart & left them to dry.
I covered the embossed tag with assorted distress inks; Fired Brick, Tattered Rose, Barn Door. I did wonder if Picket Fence Distress Stain would act as a resist, but it didn’t. The letters were cut from a piece of Tim’s paper from 2005. The wings are from a set of Tim’s Stampers’ Anonymous stamps. Stamped them with Fired Brick, cut them out & covered them with Clear Rock Candy distress stickles. Added the bling & that’s it.
Thanks for looking, the plan is to blog again tomorrow, but you know what ‘they’ say about plans.
Love & light.
Edited to add: Thanks to Annette Green for letting me know the photo of the entire tag is missing. Another pic is also missing. This is very strange as all four photos were in the post when I published it. Not only that, the photos are not on my computer, which is even more bizarre, as I didn’t delete them. They have to be somewhere, so I shall continue searching.
