Hello blog visitors, it’s another cold & rainy day here. We need the rain, so I’m not complaining about that, but it would be so nice to feel warm.
I forgot that I hadn’t posted my final tags for Day 10 of Lord Tim’s Creative Chemistry 101 class. I focused on using Distress Stickles on my tags, because they’re another medium that I forget I have. They give a surface great texture, which of course, you can’t see in the photos, so you’ll just have to take my word for it.
For this first tag, I put Chipped Sapphire & Walnut Stain distress inks on the smaller of the TH SA Book Plate stamps. The ‘title’ is from the LPC001 collection from PaperArtsy. I blended Walnut Stain & Antique Linen distress stickles over the top.
The background for this second tag is very simple, just a few distress stains swiped & splatted here & there. I stamped the window, (from Chocolate Baroque’s Texture Fragments collection), in coffee Archival & the birds in black Archival. Before adding the distress stickles, I lightly stamped the paint splat stamp from TH Visual Artistry collection with coffee Archival.
So, two very simple tags, but there are definitely lots of possibilities with Distress Stickles. I’m not a big fan of glitter, but there is a subtle sheen on these tags that I like.
Thanks for looking, until next time,
Love & light
