Greetings blog visitors, here is my next tag in the Chocolate Baroque Alpha Tag Swap. I wasn’t sure about signing up to three swap initially, but I’m glad I did. Every month I receive two terrific tags from CB members & it’s so interesting to see what they have they created.
When I began thinking of this tag, “words inspire” came to mind. Then I thought of a bookmark, but one that was old & worn.
I glued a page of an old book onto the tag, followed by torn scraps of patterned Elusive Images papers – CB used to be Elusive Images – and sealed everything with Mod Podge.
After blending distress inks – Broken China, Stormy Sky & Chipped Sapphire – over the top & drying with a heat tool, I put pale blue acrylic paint through a Crafter’s Workshop mini cubist stencil in patches.
The word ‘inspire’ is from the CB Artistic Expressions collection. I stamped it on white, scrap card which I edged with Chipped Sapphire DI & added the crew brad.
This tag ended up very grungy. I like it, but I’m not sure how the recipient of it will feel about it. Sometimes though, I need to make something completely different from the light colours & flowery stuff.
Thank you for looking. Until next time,
Love & light
