And I love it!
Greetings, blog visitors, hope you’re having a good week so far. I’m taking a slight risk, showing you this card today. Lisa’s birthday is not until Saturday, but as far as I know, she doesn’t look at my blog, so I think I’ll get away with it.
I’ve been playing with the Dylusions sprays since I bought them at the Craft Barn in July & like everyone else who’s used them, I completely love them. The colours are gorgeous & I have yet to find a combination I don’t like.
I started this background by misting the paper with water & then sprayed the inks on top. I used Bubblegum Pink, Lemon Zest, Pure Sunshine & Vibrant Turquoise.
After drying with a heat tool I put the clouds stencil on top & spritzed water through it, love how the water ‘bleaches’ out the colour.
The next step was to spray London Blue through a swiss dot stencil.
Then decide on a layout with the Curious Corrin & Further Round The Edge sets of Dylusions stamps.
I stamped Corrin twice onto white card, used the sprays to paint each image, then paper pieced her hair, dress & boots. I also used a gold pearl pen in the centre of the circles & Glossy Accents on the boots.
I continued building the background by stamping the leaves a number of times, colouring them with London Blue, Vibrant Turquoise & Black Marble. The flags on the bottom were stamped onto one of my Dylusions practice pages, cut out & attached to the background with foam pads.
That’s pretty much it, other than adding various embellishments from my stash & some highlights with a white gel pen.
There are many, much better examples of the Dylusions products out there in internet land, not least by the goddess that is Dyan Reaveley herself, but I think I did ok for my first proper attempt. Now I’m hoping Lisa like it.
I’ve been using the sprays a lot since I made this card, so I’ll show more of my projects in the coming weeks.
Thanks for looking today. Until next time,
Love & light
