Inspired by Helen Chilton

Published January 19, 2013 by isisimaginings

Evening, I hope you’re having a splendid Saturday.  I didn’t get as much time as I’d hoped to make anything today, but I managed to make two cards using some of Helen Chilton’s great techniques on the PaperArtsy blog this week.

I made the backgrounds using:

  • Portfolio Oil Pastels,
  • Fresco Finish paints; Snowflake, Nougat, Mermaid, Beach Hut, Eggplant
  • Stamping; Lynne Perella stamps LPC001 & LPC 015.  Minis 61 & 72
  • Stencilling
  • Washi tape
  • Treasure Gold
  • Ferro texture paste.

The images were stamped onto acetate as per Helen’s instructions, I love how you can see the background through the acetate.

I scraped the copper coloured Ferro paste through a stencil on one background & used a palette knife to add some to the other.

If you haven’t already done so, please visit the PaperArtsy blog to see Helen’s gorgeous creations.  She has given us so many ideas this week & I want to attempt some more of them tomorrow.

Thanks for looking.  Until next time,

Love & light
