12 Tags of 2013 June

Published June 27, 2013 by isisimaginings

Hello blog visitors, I hope you’re having a great week.  I’d forgotten I hadn’t posted my June tag for Tim’s 12 Tags, so here it is. And you can see Tim’s tag HERE.

I don’t have any distress paints or pens, so I used Whispers watercolour pens to colour the main images & a little Aqua paint from a paint dabber, along with some distress inks & Brushed Corduroy distress stain for the background.

I received the gift of a set of mini blueprints stamps from my friend, Sarita, so I used the sewing machine stamp from that set & added a few more images from another mini set.  I’ve decided that I’m not a water-colourist & I don’t particularly like the effect, but maybe that’s because I’m so bad at it.

Thanks for looking, until next time…

Love & light.

  • I clicked on the image so I could see it more clearly and I thought the water colour technique you’d used worked really well. It has a kind of vintage ‘fifties feel that goes really well with the images. Julie Ann x

  • I haven’t checked out Tim’s tags but I think this looks wonderful. Amazing background you achieved and I see nothing wrong with your water colouring but I can empathise with you. I’ve been constantly asking DS if something he’d asked me to make as a gift for a friend was ok and ‘good enough’. He said I should have more confidence in what I do but it’s not easy is it?………… especially as he has a degree in Fine Art, lol!
