Dragons Dream TIO In Neon

Published July 30, 2013 by isisimaginings

Hello, thank you all for the kind comments on my TH tag last night.  I’m back with another tag tonight, this time for the Dragons Dream Tag It On challenge.  I’ve missed doing this challenge the last few weeks & I really didn’t want to miss this one.  The fabulous Helen chose the theme this week; stencil/mask, paint, ribbon & a real stamp.

( I was thrilled a few weeks ago when my  La Belle Epoque tag was chosen to be one of the Dragons Dreamboat 3 winners.  A big thank you to all the Dragons Dream team)

Here is my tag.

Dragons Dream 29 July 13

It started out as a tag that I’d covered with scrunched up tissue paper & then forgot about, so I mixed some Grunge Paste with Puff Paint & applied it to the tag through a swiss dots stencil.  After I dried it with the heat tool – loved watching the puffiness happen – I painted two layers of Snowflake fresco paint on top.

My friend Sarita in California sent me these gorgeous neon inks from Hero Arts a few months ago & I LOVE them.

I applied them through a splatter stencil & I love the how they look.  I’ve been using them to make assorted cards & when I show them to you, you’ll see how different the colours look on card stock compared to paint.

I painted Bora Bora fresco paint onto a piece of scrap cardstock, applied a thin layer of Crackle Glaze & when that was dry, painted a thicker layer of Snowflake on top of the glaze.  When it had crackled & was dry I cut the frame using Spellbinders label dies.

Thanks to Jen feeding my washi tape addiction, I had tapes which complimented the neon colours perfectly.

I really like this tag.  I’m having a love affair with white & bright colours at the moment & with clean & simple designs.  I’ll post again tomorrow or Thursday & show you the neon cards.

Until then,

Love & light.
