Nice and Easy Neon

Published August 1, 2013 by isisimaginings

Hello, happy 1st of August, I hope everyone’s had a great Thursday.  It’s incredibly hot here again.  I’ve been out in the garden for the last few hours & it is stifling.  Which means I probably won’t sleep again tonight.  Anyway, I mentioned in my last post that I’d made some cards with the set of Hero Arts Neon inks that Sarita sent me, so that’s what I’ve got to show you tonight.

I know I’m repeating myself, but I love these colours.  I kept the cards very simple & used a maximum of three inks.

Splatters stencil.  Remember I said in my Dragons Dream TIO post, that the inks react differently with different surfaces?  These two photographs illustrate that.  Above, ordinary white card stock.  Below, Snowflake Fresco paint from PaperArtsy.

Tim Holtz butterflies stamps & stencil.  You can see where I accidentally got a mix of green & orange on the inkpad, I like it.

These two are Dyan Reaveley stencils & a stamp from her Curious Corrin set.  Over stamping on the top card, masking on the bottom one.

That’s it, I really like how these turned out.  I’ll be back over the weekend sometime.  Until then,

Love & light.

  • Great cards! I’m glad that you like the inks…I have already pre ordered four of Timmy’s new stencils. I can’t wait to try them with the neons! I hope that you get some sleep and relief from heat.
