Morning all, happy Sunday. Yesterday I went to Faversham to celebrate the first birthday of The Artistic Stamper’s bricks & mortar shop. And, despite the horrendous weather, lots of friendly crafters joined in the fun.
I had to make a card for Jennie & Mal………….
One of Neil Walker’s wonderful bird stamps, with an AS chevron stamp behind & the bunting from a Lynn Perella set for PaperArtsy. Coloured with distress inks; Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed & Salty Ocean.
The entrance way to the shop. I loved these clocks.
The shop itself. A treasure trove of crafting goodness.
Everywhere you looked there were gorgeous pieces of artwork on the walls.
The doors of fame. Spot any names you recognise??
Claudia Benson, who had us all completely fascinated by her felting skills. Lots of people went home laden down by skeins of wool & felting needles!
The studio is a fantastic space where different workshops are held almost every weekend & during the week you are more than welcome to drop in with your journals, current projects to have a play & drink plenty of tea or coffee. Apparently, there is often cake too………….
My make & takes.
I hadn’t been to the Artistic Stamper shop for a while, so it was a thrill to see the transformation Jennie & Mal have wrought on the place. They’ve worked extremely hard to make it a very enjoyable space & it is a credit to them. So, if you’re a Kent based crafter & you fancy a visit, you won’t be disappointed.
Huge thanks to Jennie & Mal for a lovely day & here’s to many more years of The Artistic Stamper.
Love & light.
