World Card Making Day

Published October 5, 2013 by isisimaginings

Hello, thanks to everyone who visited & commented on my journal page last night.

Today is indeed World Card Making Day, so I thought I’d make a few cards with my new stamp set, which was my prize from the PaperArtsy challenge last week.

This is the first of two sets designed by the extraordinarily talented Darcy Wilkinson for PaperArtsy & they are wonderful.

I wanted the images to speak for themselves, so I made very simple cards.

On the left the hearts were stamped with three of Wendy Vecchi’s Archival inks; Orange Blossom, Geranium & Cornflower. I used watercolour pencils on the other card.

PA Darcy 1

A swipe of Spanish Mulberry fresco paint – possibly my favourite EVER fresco colour.

PA Darcy 3

Peacock Feathers & Picked Raspberry distress inks on the left, Dried Marigold on the right.

PA Darcy 2

Finally, I made a Christmas card (shock horror!). I coloured with watercolour pencils & added Glossy Accents.

PA Darcy 4

I really enjoyed making these today & if they tempt you to want to buy Darcy’s stamps, you’ll find them here on the PA website. Thanks for visiting.

Until next time, love & light.
