The Funkie Junkie 12 Tags of Christmas Part One

Published October 7, 2013 by isisimaginings

Evening, I hope everyone’s had a great Monday. Thank you SO much for all the kind comments on my PaperArtsy Challenge project yesterday, I’m still blushing!

While I’ve been making Christmas cards for the Lisa B Designs blog for the last few weeks, I thought it time I started thinking about making my own & thanks to my Twitter friend Alison, (CraftyTrog) I discovered Linda of the Funkie Junkie blog & her 12 tags of Christmas challenge. The challenge is sponsored by The Funkie Junkie Boutique, it runs for 12 weeks & you can find all of the information HERE. And because you can make anything, I’m going to make cards.

I loved everything about Linda’s card & as I don’t think I’ve ever made a black & white Christmas card, I decided to make my version of her tag.

I applied Grunge Paste through this Imagination Crafts stencil & sprinkled WOW Clear Sparkle embossing powder on top & heat set. It gave a lovely shimmer to the GP.

The snowflake die cuts are from a Joy Crafts Ice Crystal die & everything was mounted onto a white C6 card blank.

The quote is from the Butterfly Kisses Snowflake clear stamp set from Hobby Art. I used white embossing powder on it & silver EP to create the border around the mini tag.

Thanks for visiting. See you next time.

Love & light.

  • Hello and welcome to the 12 Tags of Christmas Funkie Junkie Style! I’m delighted to have you playing along this year! Your black and white Christmas card is sensational – I love it. It has a great chalkboard feel to it. I tried clicking on it to see if I could get it to open as a close up, but was disappointed. I just love the way the sentiment looks in white and I’m itching for a closer look 🙂

Thanks again for joining in the challenge. Looking forward to your future entries!

    Hugs,
    Linda

    • Hello Linda, thank you so much for the kind comments. Thanks also for letting me know that the picture of the card doesn’t enlarge. I’ve no idea why it isn’t doing so, especially as the other pic does. I can only assume it’s a quirk of WordPress. I’ll keep an eye on it in other posts & see if I can fix it.
      Kirsten.
