Happy Wednesday, I hope you’re all having a great week so far.
I think this is the first time I’ve made my take on Tim’s 12 tags so early in the month. It probably won’t last…….
Anyway, you can see Tim’s gorgeous tag HERE & here’s my take. I need a card for Halloween & I think this will be ideal.
This was one of those months where I only had ONE of the items Tim used & that was Black Soot distress ink. The first thing to do was to try to get the marbling effect of the background. Out came my frescos – Guacamole, Smoked Paprika, Eggplant & Cheesecake. I mixed each of them with water, using a palette knife…………
That is what you call a result! I mopped up a little of the cheesecake & dried with my heat tool before dipping the card in the paint again & drying.
Here’s the finished paint layer & I LOVE it. I used a PaperArtsy mini script stamp with black Archival on top. ( I see at least two faces on this. Anyone else?….. Just me then.)
I used two Spellbinders label dies for the frame, adding purple glitter & mixed black embossing powder & silver glitter for Scaredy Cat, who got a red adhesive pearl for an eye. I coloured a piece of seam binding with distress inks & used it to back the Happy Halloween ribbon. And I couldn’t not have a metal embellishment, so I added the winged skull to the top of the frame.
Yep, I’m happy with this, thanks Tim for the inspiration. Thanks for looking, see you next time.
Love & light.
