Funkie Junkie 12 Tags of Christmas Week Twelve

Published December 21, 2013 by isisimaginings

Drum roll please, here is card number 12. Linda’s stunning tag is in this post & I was inspired by every detail of it. I used my TH stars stencil with gold texture paste & embossing powder as Linda did – fab texture when you heat the powder on the wet paste!

I applied Antique Linen distress ink Platinum stickles around the edges. I stamped the bauble on separate white card, heat set with gold EP & cut it out. I added some gold glitter mesh to the back & made a bow, which is under the white bow. The final addition was the gold diamond mesh & the quote.

And that’s it, twelve Christmas cards completed, the end of the challenge. But wait, no it isn’t. Linda has very kindly extended the challenge to January 8 & there will be extra cards to make in the meantime (thank you cards, not Christmas cards – hurrah!).  All the relevant information, rules, requirement, etc. is in the post for the twelfth tag . Everyone who completes the challenge gets a discount to spend in the Funkie Junkie Boutique, which is sponsoring the challenge.

I still have some other Christmas cards to share, so I shall be back tomorrow. (I’ve just remembered I still have to make my tag for the Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2013 – eek!)

Bye for now.

  • Absolutely sensational! LOVE everything about this card. You did a marvelous job of using al that wonderful gold embossing powder and paste. That bauble is just gorgeous and I love how you added the gold net.

I’m delighted that you played along with me on my little challenge this year. Congratulations on finishing all the tags/cards and hanging in with me for all the 12 weeks. Best of luck in the prize drawing. Hope to see you back for the bonus round.

    Wishing you a blessed Christmas!

    Hugs,
    Linda

  • Your gold diamond mesh really finishes this beautifully & I have to say I think you saved the best for the last! The gold glitter mesh provides a super backdrop for your bauble & I just love the whole white & gold effect coupled with the tiny touch of black for the sentiment.

Thank you so much for your very nice comment you left on my blog also.
Hugs to you and Merry Christmas as well.
