PaperArtsy Challenge Altered Canvas

Published January 10, 2014 by isisimaginings

Hello, happy Friday. Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on my Clare Lloyd inspired journal page, I’m still blushing.

Tonight I have the finished canvas that I mentioned on Wednesday. I finished it last night, but I was too tired to write a blog post. This is my take on Clare’s second project & I’ve copied the colours & techniques & used my Squiggly Ink stamps.

This is a rubbish photograph, but it’s just to show you the sides of the frame. I loved the layer of Lake Wanaka fresco on top of the stamping.

Aside from the Crafters Workshop Mini Aztec stencil, everything on this canvas is from PaperArtsy & of course, I couldn’t resist adding a little White Fire treasure gold at the end.

The colour of the canvas can be seen properly in this photo.

After painting the bird & flowers I brushed a thin layer of Gloss Glaze on top. And it’s not showing up in the photo, but I got some great streaks  when I brushed Beach Hut fresco over the layer of Mermaid.

A big thank you to Clare for her inspiration this week. If you have yet to visit her blog, here’s the link;

See you next time.

  • Gorgeous take on Clare’s canvas Kirsten. I’ve really fallen in love with that colour combo! Smashing stamps you’ve used. I think I need those tiddy houses, lol!
