Hidden Messages

Published January 11, 2014 by isisimaginings

I didn’t expect having another PaperArtsy inspired project to show you tonight, but last night Helen Chilton returned to the PA blog with a gorgeous piece she made with Portfolios oil pastels.

I’ve watched Leandra demonstrate Portfolios at shows, both she & Helen do an amazing job with them, but I’ve never managed to get a good result. This page is not brilliant, but it’s a lot better than my previous efforts.

I decided on a journal page, so that I could throw it in the bin instead of gluing it in to my journal if I didn’t like it. Click HERE to see how Helen made her project, I’ve just copied all the steps. I used PA stamps Eclectic Plate 6 & Letters Plate 3, as well as assorted PA stamps on the bakground.  I found the wire in my stash, no idea where I got it. It’s much too thin, but it adds some texture.

As well as the PaperArtsy challenge, I’m going to enter this page into the current Sprinkle of Imagination colour challenge, I think it fits the brief.

Thanks for looking – and again, thank you for the lovely comments last night. See you next time.

  • IMHO you have definitely mastered using the Portfolio Pastels Kirsten, hope you don’t throw this away your pages are stunning!

Love everything you have used, the synergy of text stamps, large words & colour is a feast for the eyes & soul. Has cheered me up thinking about the hidden messages in my own head lol.

Brilliant & beautiful ArTworK 🙂 xxx
