Here I am again. Yesterday I went to The Craft Barn with my friend Lisa(who was a great help when I was trying to place all the items on my canvas. Thanks Lisa!) , to attend Neil Walker’s altered canvas class & I had a wonderful time, getting covered in gesso, texture paste & Dylusions inks. Here is my canvas just after I’d covered it with gesso.
When we came back after lunch the gesso was mostly dry, so I sprayed the first layer of Dylusions, I used mostly Calypso Teal & Dirty Martini, with a little bit of Fresh Lime. The next step was Dreamweaver’s Pearlescent texture paste through stencils. This was gorgeous. As it dried it absorbed some of the Dylusions colours & the photos do not do justice to the beautiful sheen.
More inks were sprayed, this time with the addition of Melted Chocolate & Black Marble. I did some second- and third- generation stamping with JoFY stamps & finished with silver Treasure Gold.
I’m sorry for the terrible photos, no matter how I tried this morning I couldn’t get good ones.
I love all the different textures. I keep wanting to touch them, but I’m leaving the canvas alone for a few days so that it dries completely.
Thank you so much to Neil for his patience & inspiration. He is always so helpful, constantly answering questions & making sure we’re all happy with what we’re doing. Thanks also to everyone at The Craft Barn, I hope it won’t be too long before I attend another class there.
Thanks for looking, see you next time.
I always wonder who makes up the names for all the different color paints! Did they go to the Crayola School of naming colors? : )
