Happy Birthday Lesley

Published May 6, 2014 by isisimaginings

Happy Tuesday, I hope you all had a great weekend, especially those for whom it was a bank holiday. I’ve got another birthday card to show you, this time for my Twitter friend Lesley, aka @Craftymamma2,  who is celebrating today.

The background is Pea Coat Fresco paint, followed by Fresco Crackle Glaze then Ice Blue Fresco. I mixed a drop of Pansy Fresco with Grunge Paste & applied it through the new Lin Brown stencil, ELB001. Then I mixed GP with a drop of Pea Coat & applied it through the ELB002 stencil. I added Florentine & White Fire TG to finish.

I stamped the Lynne Perella image with Orange Blossom Archival ink & heat set with clear embossing powder. Embellishments are Tim Holtz Trellis & Regal Crest die cuts & Memory Box poppy die cuts.

Happy birthday Lesley, I hope you have a lovely day.

Thanks for looking, see you soon.

  • Gorgeous card and I bet Lesley will love it!! She is such a Paperartsy fan. The whole card is put together in such a clever way, – it looks fantastic!

  • I love the way you have edged that banner with black to give it real dimensional shadow & the way frames your die-cut image looks superb. I’m intrigued by the size of the TH trellis, but doesn’t it fit nicely with your LP image which has similar shapes. I love the way the top right trellis runs in one direction & your bottom left trellis runs in the other.

  • Hi Kirsten, I’m sorry it’s taken me a day to get to you but you know why :-(. Anyway, I’m here now to shout out MY BIRTHDAY CARD IS GORGEOUS! Sorry but the pics don’t do it justice. So many of my favourite things have gone to make this card but most of all your time and skill Kirsten and I will treasure it long after my cards have to be taken down (won’t be for a while yet though). It may be a week or so before I can get round to it but I will be doing a blog post to show off all the beautiful handmade cards I received.

    Thank you so much Kirsten.
