PaperArtsy Challenge–Inspired by Ellen Vargo

Published May 11, 2014 by isisimaginings

Here’s my second post for today. The wonderfully talented Ellen Vargo was back on the PaperArtsy blog on Friday with a gorgeous tag book, so of course, I had to make my own…

007

I used my three sets of Ellen’s stamps; EEV01, EEV02 EEV03, as well as HP1204.

008

I used Tikka, Hey Pesto, Tinned Peas, Smoked Paprika, London Bus & Blood Orange Fresco paints. The white highlights are Snowflake FP.

009

Distress inks; Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans,Tumbled Glass, Festive Berries, Picked Raspberry, Victorian Velvet, Tattered Rose & the quotes are from the Tim Holtz ‘Simple Sayings’ set of stamps.

I’m pleased with how these tags turned out.  I love the B&W stamping at the top & bottom of each tag & the white paint on the black stamping.

005

To my delight, I found out earlier today that I have a won a set of Ellen’s brand new PA stamps, EEV05, via a giveaway on her blog. Thank you Ellen & PaperArtsy! I shall be lying in wait for the postman………… Smile

Thanks for looking, see you next time.

  • Gorgeous, gorgeous tag book, Kirsten. Love the colours and the stamping – those flowers are so pretty against the varied backgrounds. Congrats on your stamp win – have fun playing!

  • I have to confess I too was rather captivated by the white on black details as well as the black & white heads & tails of the tags. The pattern building is fascinating to see & how brilliant that you won one of the sets.
