PaperArtsy Challenge–Inspired by Keren Baker

Published May 12, 2014 by isisimaginings

Yes, I know, not like me to be here two days in a row, but after seeing new guest designer, Keren’s gorgeous cards on the PaperArtsy blog last night I had to have a play this evening. Keren’s style is beautifully CAS & I want to attempt all her projects his week, including tonight’s, but I chose her third card from last night to work from & made two cards & an ATC.………….

I’m loving white heat embossing at the moment, so Keren’s card was perfect for me. The buildings are from the new Lynne Perella set, LPC028, the birds a Tim Holtz stamp & I used Zesty Zing, Pumpkin Soup, Smoked Paprika & Concrete mixed with Little Black Dress Frescos………….

Image from LPC001,  ‘MUSE’ from Ink & The Dog Letters Plate 3 & Irish Cream, Lilac, Mermaid, Bora Bora & Inky Pool Frescos…….

Left over paint as above & the image from LPC028 & TH pen nibs stamped with Plum Archival.

Thanks for looking & you never know, I might be back tomorrow night…………. Smile

  • Fascinating to see how you have taken your inspiration from Keren’s samples & adapted them to make them your own. I especially like that final one with the way you used the pen nibs & the first the way you did actually interpret it by using buildings for your image. If I had to choose it’s the first that is my favourite because of the way you used vertical lines in the sentiment panel to echo the vertical lines of the buildings & the balance is so pleasing with the horizontal lines of the background colour itself.

  • I LOVE what you’ve done. It feels rather surreal seeing someone’s project after seeing yours. I love each one. I think you chose better colours- and my fave is the pen one with the added image. Just beautiful stamping.

  • Kirsten these are all gorgeous, I love the gentle colours. I need to try these too this week, but I’ll have to wait till my day off 🙂 xx
