Moth Fab With Hearts

Published March 12, 2015 by isisimaginings

Me again. I made this last month for a Stampotique challenge & then forgot to blog it………….

I used an MDF three piece frame from Imagination Crafts, covering the top piece with a square of patterned paper.

I used a baby wipe to blend PaperArtsy Fresco paints, I can’t remember which ones exactly………..

Added stencilling (TCW & Andy Skinner)…………

Gold embossing paste through a Dina Wakley stencil for TCW. Moth Fab was painted with Frescos…….

I added some stamping with black Archival ink & used a Luminarte shimmer spray in blue, it gives a very subtle shimmer……

The heart is MDF, also from Imagination Crafts. I painted it with white gesso & Eggplant Fresco, then Snowflake Fresco through a stencil. I covered it with Glossy Accents to finish….

I debated with myself about adding a sentiment or a quote, but decided not to, I think it’s okay as it is.

I would like to enter this into the challenge on the new Mixed Media World blog. Thanks for looking.

  • This is great Kirsten. Love the gold textured hearts and the heart embellie is lovely. Moth Fab looks great in her frame and I agree about not adding words. I find it hard not to add something usually but you made the right decision here.

  • This is really lovely Kirsten, gorgeous colours and stenciling, those hearts really pop from your frame, and of course I love Moth Fab. Enjoy your weekend xx

  • Ok – I must confess I have never seen Moth Fab but she is adorable. I absolutely love her and will have to see if I can find the rubber stamp for my own stamp collection. Beautifully done and thanks so much for joining us at Mixed Media World. We hope you will join in our next challenge.

    Hugs and smiles
