Goodness, I’ve just realised this is my third post in three days – I think that’s a record for me!
I’ve made a tag for the Dragons Dream blog challenge & I can’t quite believe it. Every week I look at the gorgeous tags on their blog & promise myself I will take part & every week I run out of time. Until now.
My lovely Twitter friend, Gabrielle, chose the theme this week & it is ‘White, Metal & Transport’. Gabrielle is unable to craft at the moment, due to breaking her elbow in a fall a few weeks ago, so I’d like to tell her I’m thinking of her & I hope the pain is not too terrible.
I cut my tag from kraft card & applied grunge paste through a stencil. When the paste was dry, I covered the tag with Snowflake fresco paint, knocking back in places with a baby wipe.
I stamped the Chocolate Baroque hot air balloon onto linen textured white card with Weathered Wood distress ink & heat set with clear embossing powder. I stamped the lower onto metal card with Stazon, cut it out & glued it to the white card.
As I was painting some shadows on the balloon with WW I got the idea of it flying over the Alps – no, I don’t where it came from either – so I used a Spellbinders Edgeabilities die to cut another piece of linen card, attached three pieces to the base of the tag with foam pads to make the Alps & added Picket Fence stickles.
The airmail stamp is a Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous stamp & I painted the Idea-ology gear, brad & flower with Snowflake fresco paint. Found some white fibres in my stash, so I added them to the ribbon.
I added a little Treasure Gold – Aquamarine & Spanish Topaz – to the wing & philosophy tag.
I used Chit Chat stickers for the quote. It was inspired by a conversation I overheard some time ago. A woman was telling another woman, with great conviction in her tone, that she absolutely HATED to travel.
So that’s my tag. Thanks to the Dragons Dream DT for their fantastic creativity & inspiration. Wonder if I’ll manage to take part next week……?
Until next time,
Love & light.
